copper sfp(Finisar) support on baseboard having Vitesee PHY

Hi,

I am working on line card where VITESEE PHY is used with optical interfaces.

In that line card copper SFP (from FINISAR) need to be supported to 10/100/1000M.

in VITESEE PHY, to set SGMII mode register 23 is used but i am not very clear which operating mode need to be selected so that copper SFP will work in 10/100/1000M speed.

Link came up by setting 23.10:8 to 001(SFP pass through mode) or 101(AMS with SFP pass through mode) when FINISAR SFP is configured in SGMII mode.

but with 001 and 101 auto-neg is not there between PHY and MAC.

And status register 28 also not updating properly after changing the speed from 1000 to 100.

Can anyone clarify which operating mode needs to be selected.
