Control A Computer printer with a Pic

Hi,
This might print the pc screen to printer, will get me starting, i have question
if i am using PC (c#) to receive data sent by a device to Serial printer do i have to to hold Hardware handshaking signal to high so continuously receive all data. i will give it a try on tomorrow.
