Can some one point me to the right direction to design the wireless battery charger? Any information relates to tranformer design, switching frequency, driving circuit etc.. for this specific application will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
In one of the product i have design I use a wirless battery charger the charger use to charge NIMH battery pack contact less
THe idea behind the charger was simple a AC 2 DC converter (2 resistor and a diode bridge ) and high voltage power oscilator (colpitz type ) oscilate @ 50KHz on the other side ther was the 2nd half of the air gap transformer a diode bridge(1N4148) and 0.1 uF cap
the trick was to use an air gap self osillating transformer .
In MARCH,I saw a news about epson's battery charger, but it have not offer switching frequency,I think it depend you systerm efficiency and transfer ranger.

Usually, you see from cordless phone and mobile phone, you need direct contact to charging circuit. With magnetic coupling, the energy is through magnetic flux, so it means "wireless".
