Hello!

I would like to know how I can connect the PIC16F877 micro-controller to the internet through a WiFi. Its my foray into wireless communication and PIC's , so I wish you can give me as much details as possible on where to start and how to proceed.

Thanks!

Gaurav

Hi Nick!

Thanks for your quick reply. I don't want to built it from scratch - me and my team want to get it up and running . We would like to use the internet to connect the PIC16F877 with data online and make meaningful use of public data through API's.

In this scenario would Roving's WiFly be relevant?

Furthermore , looking at RN's Wifly module it is expensive ~200$. Are their cheaper variations?
