Could someone tell me where i can find the definition or related discuss about "surface impedance" or how to calculate the surface impedance of materials?
i searched some textbooks on electromagnetics at hand but didn't find it.
Thank you!

Hi,

This is discussed in 2 pages in Microwave Enginnering 2nd ed book by David Pozar.
It's related to plane wave reflection from a media interface where is a media is no longer a perfect conductor.

Goodluck...

hi livemath,
Thank you very much and this is exactly what i'm looking for!

Then the surface impedance is the same as "intrinsic impedance", which is also expressed as Zc=(1-i)/(conductivity*skin depth), isn't it?

Hi

Check your formula It should be +
