Comparator response time i slow...why?

If you notice from the data sheet, it's a ultra-low power device with much lower power (over a factor of 100 less) than the LM393. It's used where low power is more important than speed, such as battery operated devices. Low power devices are slower since there is less current to charge the various internal parasitic capacitances when the comparator changes states.
