Hello Everyone.

I am designing a common source amplifier with resistive load.

I am getting the maximum vout as vdd which is fine but the lowest value of vout I am getting is not 0V.

I think its because of the minimum drop that my transistor is taking.

Is it possible to build a CS amplifier with some configuration which will give me a full 0 to Vdd swing in the Vout?!

Thank you!

Hi,
Look at page #4+..... of this PDF.
Have you considered a dual supply.?#

Which PDF? I think it didnt get attached.
I am actually using a carbon nanotube FET which behaves like a MOSFET.

even if I use a dual supply, the drop across FET will still be there and hence will prevent a full swing.
Let me try the dual supply though.. might help..

Thanks. Let me try dual supply.

hi,
As a check I have just downloaded the PDF from the link I posted, it is OK.?

Yeah.. I saw that pdf. The problem is I am building Carbon nanotube FET amplifier which behaves like MOSFET so the equations dont apply directly. Hence I wanted a new topology sort of which can give a full swing at output.

Thank you anyway.
