Hi,

Would anybody here happen to know an equation that will take in the magnetic field strength of two magnets separated by a given distance, then give me the magnetic field strength at the point halfway between them?

~ed.

Fields can exist at the same time and same place. So my first think is : compute the two separately, then add them together as vectors.

When the two ends are of the same polarity, they cancel each other in the halfway point.

i think if the two ends of opposite polarity they will then cancel each other in the way.
with the same polarity the will generate two magnetic fields in the same direction @ the midway pont
