I'm building an IR remote control box using a PIC. One of the devices it must control is a Motorola DTH335 satellite box.
I have taken a look at the codes the Motorola supplied remote sends - using a universal IR capture box. These appear to be sent at 38KHz and use the NEC protocol (except it's modified in that the second address bit does not seem to be the inverse of the first).
However the Motorola box is having trouble receiving these codes consistently.
My new control also has codes to control a Panasonic TV (using the Panasonic protocol) and this works fine - every time.
It's just the Motorola box that is fickle - has anyone got any clues
as to what could be going on.
