8086 microprocessor+pdf

people who are still begining to study microprocessors and inter architecture or assembly for pc 8086 is good to start

intel microprocessors - barry b. brey

My opinion is that if you wish to start studying, you should start with microcontrolers.

If you're using 8086 only for compatibility with PC code, that you'll have a lot to do because every compilers that I know, on a PC, is based on PC architecture. They expect to have interrupts mapped to specific function calls (BIOS, DOS, ...), video to be at specific address, ...

But the biggest pain is that a microprocessor come bare naked (no memory, no timers, no IO, ...).

With a microcontroler, you already have memory, timers, IO, UART, ... Plus, a lot of microcontrolers are well supported, with C compilers, assemblers, ...

book on microprocessor by bray

Let me tell you my way of learning microprocessors....

Read the book on 8086 by DouglasVHall ..It is there in this site also in the e-book section..Just check it....Learn the basics with it....
Then go for Barry.B.Brey...
Keep reading the websites of the processor giants Intel and AMD ..There are lots of archive sections in these sites and u will definitely like them and find them useful....

If u want further and go for Interfacing concepts, no book would give u sufficient knowledge ..U have to learn by yourself thru manuals ......I have some of them..pm me if u want....

Added after 4 minutes:

I suggest one more book....u might like it ......
i dont remember the name exactly.....The author name is Rafiquzzaman
