Hi all,

Can anyone of you answer the following question:

In a nmos transistor, how does the current flows from drain to source in saturation region when the channel is pinched off ??

Thanks,
sp3

At pinch off, the electric field at the pinch off (depleted) region is very high. this field attracts the current carrying charges flowing at the channel.

even though it is said to be pinched off.... there is still a small channel....

at pinch off VGD is 0V but VDS is there which produce a lateral electric field and push the electrons towards drain from source.....hope this will help.
