what is lambda in cmos

With the aid of LAMBDA we can model the channel length modulation. Channel length is varying in saturation region. It will give a finite output resistance for the MOS in saturation region. If LAMVDA is zero the output resistance is infinite.

Dear hemmanth,

Not only the lambda is the parastic effect, lambda comes into picture

when the length of channel is getting shriken or getting scaled,

Parastics are inducing of cap between sorc drain, gate, substrate, effects occuring to that, capacitance are various type and various effects then

due to temperature, then carrires, whe mos are brought together so latch up, ESD inducing curents , leakge , diode effect so many effects are there.

its especially for deep sub micron CMOS tech parastics are more
