In CTS, Which is best practice adding buffers or inverters ? Why ?

both, give more "possibility" to the tool.
you should more control the drive and to select the symetrical buffer/inverter.

But my question is Which is the best using buffers or inverters? buffer vs inverter

If you define only one type the tool will have some difficulties (by experience).

Inverters are usually preferred..

They have lesser delay and greater drive strength...
