Hi, all,

Due to academic purpose, I plan to generate sine wave clock with below 100MHz and draw the sine wave on the LCD at the same time. Does MSP430 meet my requirement? If not, any better choice for me to choose? Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

FaZeng

100Mhz?

why not shoot for 100Ghz instead?

HI

In order to do as you ask - you will need to use a DDS IC (see analog site for DDS) externally connected to the micro

Also to sample and display a signal above 2 MHz you will need a faster controller then the MSP430 + an FPGA + RAM + fast ADC (adc sampling frequency must be at lest twice
the frequency of the incoming signal)

Use the FPGA + RAM + fast ADC to create an interface for the micro controller

Search Google for scope DIY to learn more

I can recommend you to use the STM32F103 - has a lot of example project & support

All the best
