is the spreading technique is the source encoding in CDMA systems(including CDMA IS-95)?
and is the change in the code length represents change in bit rate transmision which change the activity used (voice, vedio or data)??
Please clarify ....
thanx in advance

Your question is not that clear....

Anyway, source coding is aimed at decreasing the bit rate of voice channel, while maintinaing the voice quality as good as possible. Thus the bandwidth or time used up by each user for voice communication goes down, and more users can be accomodated.

Spreading is done to achieve usage by multiple users of the same bandwidth simultaneoulsy.

These are not directly related.

As the length of code is changed it must effect the bitrate transmission in the line as the capacity of the channel through which the data is passing is fixed .
To receive the whole data in the same time the data rate must be higher.

------- Will anybody please focus in my concept is that Ok or not as i am not quite sure to it also ....
