circuit for sawtooth oscillator

sawtooth oscillator

I want to build a sawtooth oscillator using only simple components like C,R,L and transistors (preference for bi-polar not Cmos)-no opAmp or 555 or any other chip.

Does anyone has an idea or a circuit diagram for it?
