Hi all,

For a manufacturing process of terminals which contains GSM modems, I currently use two communication analyzers for testing the devices after assembly. One is a HP8922M (GSM/DCS/PCS mobile station test set), this is quite old unit, it is good for testing registration of mobile unit and call processing. Another is Anritsu MT8802A, this one covers gsm/dcs/pcs and some basic gprs functions for 2g networks. With these I can cover devices for 2g networks sold in Europe.
However, now I must sell some devices which are not covered by these 2 test sets. Some are 3g devices for Europe and some for 2g/3g in North America. Because of this I must purchase another test set which is able to cover these necessities, and eventually LTE as well, to cover future developments. Can you recommend me a suitable communication analyzer for this purpose? My budget is limited (under 5k eur), so new analyzers are out of question. Modems I use are made by Telit, mainly GL865, UL865-NAR. I do not need very complex test sets, I am not interested to measure power ramps, bit error rates, audio paths, etc. I am mostly interested to see a go/no go test, some power levels to check antenna connections, successfull registration and that's it.
Thank you.
