I'm working on a dispenser mechanism for which i need 12V stepper motor, Bipolar.
In local stores i found PM35-S048 motor which i connected to micro controller with L293D drive circuitry(half step drive), but the holding torque is not sufficient.
As per datasheet of PM35-S048 , it is 24V Bipolar motor. I have a limitation that i should use only 12V battery supply. So is that low voltage causing low torque ??

The specs i need are ,

Voltage - 12V
Drive IC - L293D(600ma)
Holding torque - atleast 1kg cm

Please suggest me which motor should i use ? And if possible state its availability in bangalore ( Karnataka) .

Thank you :)
