Can tools for dsp56f8xx be used on 56f8xxE family?

Is it possible to use old Metrowerk compiler for DSP56f8xx family to generate executables for new Freescale DSP family 56f8xxE

Check and compre the asembly code of the DSP56F8xx aginst the 56f8xxE

if it 's the same - No problem of using OLD compiler

No there is not the same family there is a new Codewarrior for DSP568XXE family and the older doesn't work.
