can i use the same Tx/Rx peripheral for both my zigbee and modbus communication???

hi guys !!! I am working on MRF24J..Zigbee Rf module ...and a 24f pic uc..
my question is can i use the same Tx/Rx peripheral for both my zigbee and modbus communication???

Not quite. you can you a relay and switch to the required device. as 2 devices will load the port pins and may not function properly.

thanks for ur concern Mr.Shivaram....at this point my hardware design is frozen...and i am afraid i cant use a relay at this point...any other suggestion that can be handled only by software??

Do one thing.. Max232 has 2channes of tx and rx. connect one to one channel and other to another channel and try it once. hope it works

can you post your circuit
