Can I ignore DRC error: metal1 density?

Plz its urgent can ayone answer....

can we ignore this drc error:-----
1.metal1 density
Its not showing exactly where the error is??
2. Active contact is not an act.

wat exactly it says??

if ur using calibre u can mention in the script to skip the density errors and if ur using the gui there is switch which which disables the density checks.

No u cannot ignore the density error. U need to add dummy metal inorder to avoid this error.

Metal density errors

These errors generally occur when a metal layer does not have the required metal density. Refer to the LEF file for the particular layer and look at the metal density value specified for that layer.

You need to do metal fill to avoid such errors. This is generally done at the later stage of the design process.

1. some foundry can ignore this, while others not, ask your foundry.

2. what is active contact?
