power line carrier 24v dc line

Hello,

I have some peripherals to communicate each other. I want to do this over their power lines. What is the easiest and cheapest way to do this ? What do you advise me to start ?

powerline 24v

If the current is not very high through the power line, try modulating a subcarrier with DTMF tones ( the ones used into the telephones.
The carrier frequency can be i.e. 100 KHz or similar.
use FM modulation ( modulation index at least 1 ) to avoid interference from noise on the line.
Power can be some mW, the receiver is enough with a sensitivity of -60 dBm.
You can use the IF chain of any IC, for example MC13156, MC3362, etc.

In any case you will need Low-pass-filter for DC and High-pass-filter for communication. This can be accomplished by simple L-C combination.. DC power choke of, say, 1mH as power filter, and capacitor of 100nF as data in/out.
