I thinking of making an led bulb from 230v without a step down transformer.
I think I can use bridge ckt and somthing etc.
can any one help me to build such a ckt that is capable of driving 5 or 7w led's.
 

Always is good to have isolation. I recommend to use small SMPS psu, you can make it or buy it. In SMD fashion can be very small and compact.
