Hi, all
I am doing a layout with cadence now.

I got DRC checking and saw this:
warning: substrate/well soft connected add power/ground label if neccesary

Any genius tells me what does this mean?

BTW, adding label is to add label from LSW? Like the very last third option?

Thanks in advance.

W_Heisenberg ,
Whenever two nets are connected using MOAT or POLY it is called as SOFT Connection.
In ur case connect the well with the metal, that warning ll be cleared.

Man, I finally figure this out

The way I fixed it is here:

Creat -> Pins ... -> shape pin -> (meanwhile giving name in the blank) -> (then drag the pin in the layout window) -> done!

Thanks for your help though.

Hi,
I draw a layout with cadence.
In DRC checking, I saw this message:
warning: substrate/well soft connected add power/ground label if necessary

I did all thing, but I couldn't do it. I used pin (Metal1_T) and drag the name of power in my vdd, however it doesn't work.
Please help me.
Thank you.

Use a contact between nwell and metal1 and directly route it to vdd .
