suse 10 ic5141

I installed Cadence IC5141 on SUSE10 and Mandriva 2007 .
None of them is working due to GBLIC compatibility issue.

Does anyone have any experiences with IC5141 on SUSE 10?
I was able to install and run successfully on Centos 4.4.
But I want to upgrade my linux OS.

I saw many articles regarding of the issue.
But none of them is working properly and I got confused.

Please help me on this.
Thanks,

Hi sfdesignguru!
I use SuSE 10.0 on my laptop. I also tried Mandriva 2007 and I've found no problems with Mandriva and Cadence.

What kind of problem do you have?
What messages do you see?

Hello,

After installing Cadence IC5141 under Suse 10.1.
When I run "icfb", it compains "GLIBC_2.0" issue.
I have gooled around to find workarounds But none of them is working.
Such as "LD_ASSUME_KERNEL"..etc...

I did test the IC5141 under Suse 9.3.
I didn't have problem to run the Cadence yet required the "LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1".

Have you ever tested your Cadence under Suse 10.1 or 10.2 ?
You are saying....
You installed it on Suse 10.0 and just working fine??

Do you think there is a big difference between 10.0 and 10.1 ?

Thanks for your advice!

Hi!
You can not use any Cadence version under SuSE linux higher than 10.0.
There are a lot of posts about it on this forum.

So your 10.1 version will not allow you to run icfb.
I use 10.0 and LD_ASSUME_KERNEL - this pair works fine.
