The output capacitor could be difficult to calculate.
You can get by with a smaller Farad value if you're in continuous conduction mode (less ripple), as opposed to discontinuous mode.
You might as well make it easy on yourself. Calculate your output capacitor based on what it though it discharges during a cycle. It loses charge through the load according to the RC time constant.
You'll choose a ripple spec. Size your capacitor so your RC figure will yield a 63% figure, if extended in proportion to the length of your converter cycle.
