8 bit c compiler

I don't have much experience in that but a friend of mine uses codeworrier IDE and an evaluation copy is available at freescale website.

The free vrsion of codewarrior should be more than enough. 16 K code size limit and 32 files.

Also sdcc is buid on top of the GNU compiler and will handle hc08.

Use codewarrior C compiler. It is excellent compiler and with True time simulator.
