clock buffer

What is the difference between buffer and clock buffer... How are they different in design and working ... PLs give some materials/links regarding ..

Thank you in advance..

clock buffer requires equal rise/fall time, but normal buffer does not have such restrictions.

thank you eexuke, can you please say me from the design perspective ....

clock buffer requires very high FAN OUT....and lesser delay as possible....so it is design exclusively and those are huge in size....

hi
Clock buffer requires high fanout because of large capacitive load. Thus W/L calculation of clock buffer is different than normal buffer. another issue is symetric tr, tf requirement.Because of these mostly cascading of buffers is used to avoid a buffer with very large transistors.
