Hello
Im working with XC3S400 and PIC30MX.... , I need a Buffer IC that change voltage 5 to 3.3 to compatible with my MCU and 3.3 to 5 for MCU to other devices.
i don't want to use level shifter or zener diode bias . i want to know does we have a IC that do the above problem?(with high speed)?
You could look at the SN74LVC4245A bus translator, which could be used also unidirection from 3.3V to 5V and back, so as an input or output translator from 3.3V. Here is the datasheet: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/sn74lvc4245a.pdf . For interfacing to the industrial world (greater 5V) you could find in this application useful solutiones with the iC-MFL and others: https://www.ichaus.biz/mcu_interface .
I usually use a CD4050 hex buffer for high to low v conversion- because they're cheap and common. You can convert anywhere up to 15v signal input to the Vdd you apply (which can be as low as 3v) so you can easily convert 5v to 3.3v. Good for 20MHz
