Ansoft HFSS

I am currently designing a bowtie shape antenna...I wanna noe what is the purpose of the mesh plot in ansoft HFSS...anyone pls help me...tanx a lot!!!

Re: Ansoft HFSS

The mesh plot is very useful to see if your structure's details and discontinuities are meshed small enough. Please note that the RF current typically flows at edges of metal, so mesh your edges well. This goes for your bow-tie also.

Ansoft HFSS

If there is too many critical angle in your design, set up the mesh over the edges will help hfss jump over some iteration in meshing.

Re: Ansoft HFSS

tanx a lot mates...but can i edit the mesh coz when i crate it...the mesh design is not that nice...if can how to?

Re: Ansoft HFSS

To improve the mesh on a 2D object (face), select an object face, right click -> Assign mesh operation -> On selection -> Length based and define the maximal mesh element length.

Cheers
