Hi, all:
I'm trying to design a current steering DAC. Can you help me with the following questions?
1. What is the advantages/disadvantages of Binary type and Thermal Code type current steering DAC, respectively?
2. From what I have known, current steering DACs are usually used for high speed applications, and it seems Binary type current steering DAC can be more faster than its Thermal Code counterpart, Is it true, and why?
3. In terms of high resolution current steering DAC, people often use hybrid method with calibration, however I only see people do calibration in the MSBs (i.e. the thermal code part), and seldomly in the LSBs (i.e. the binary code part), why?
Thank you for your kindness.
