We are developing a Wimax 700 UHF Transceiver with single 5MHZ channel, we'd studied several papers comparing architectures and reached the conclusion that currently the two most appropriate architecture would be Zero-IF and Low-IF for having best integrability and possess few blocks.
We understand that currently the ZIF one architecture is the better choice for low price solution, but we do not know how much the problems of dc offset / flicker may affect the project, or how challenges their are.
Moreover, the Low-IF proves easier to implement but it needs future conversion and have image problem.
question: What the best choice for our situation and why?
ps:
- we want to develop this transceiver in CMOS
- our focus is only the development of the analog/rf part of trasnceiver.
Thanks
