best linux for virtex 4 powerpc core

kindly let me know the which linux to use for virtex 4 powerpc !

PowerPC can run the full linux kernel. Within EDK you'll have the option to choose 2.6.x LInux kernel as the OS and everything will be built for you. Just check the user manuals.
