Thanks for taking a moment to point me in the right direction.
I am looking for a linear actuator and controller board, power door lock actuators for vehicles like this are cheap and would probably work for me. Ideally I'd prefer one smaller, with less travel (1.25cm is fine) but more force. The door actuator is supposed to provide 10lbs, slightly more would be better. Cost is also a factor.

I've also looked at lots of motor controller boards but am still unsure exactly what my options are (again, cost) to run the actuator. The board needs to be capable of controlling 2 of the actuators.
