Hello,

I have the output of my audio amplifier with 4 to 8 ohm output impedance which can give 350mW of power to 8 ohm speaker. I want to make it 600 with 350mW of power, how to do it?

What is the meaning of 600/600 matching transformer?

Waiting for your encouraging reply,

Regards

Bakhat Rawan

600/600 transformer without modifications will not transform 350mW of power to the secondary.
To do this you can take of the shelf 600/600 transformer and remove part of the top winding so its impedance will be around 8Ω. If you feed this modified transformer with your 350mW amplifier you will have 600Ω secondary output ..

Additional infor on audio transformers you can find hhere:

hello,

Thanks for your help. I have 600/600 transformer " T1104" by tamura. When I measure its input resistance (primary) it is 46 Ohms and the secondry Resistance is 66 Ohm. Why it is so? should it be 600 Ohm each? My audio amplifier can provide 350mW of power to 8 Ohm speaker using 5V VCC. Now to make it able to drive 600 load with same power (350mW) what will be the turns ratio?

what the 600/600 transformer actually means? as i told its primry and secondry resistance is not 600?

Waiting for your helpful reply

Best regards

Sorry,,
I read through all the posts - and probably missed a few and answered old posts..
