Audio Input on DSP Kit

I have a DSP kit , that has c5416 processor,
one audio in
one line in
one audio out
one line out

I want to find out, if I connect a microphone to the audio in, how do
I get the data in my program,

I am programming in C language on code composer studio 3.1

Hi,

Before reading the data u should first find out the codec which u are using on the board. U should set the control registers and sets the bits accordingly to read the data. U can find out few examples by looking at h**p://programmersheaven.com

I am also implementing AMR speech codec on TMS320C6713 DSP board.i hv c-code for amr speech codec which compiles in linux.i d'not know how to compile this code using CCS CV3.1
