I want to to get started with ARM7 and i am looking to find a cheap jtag interface to programm and emulate-debug with gcc and gdb on linux.(i want to use atmel's AT91SAM7 mcu's for start)
I don't want to buy (pay for) an IDE.
If anyone has to suggest me something or has experience emulating ARM's with gdb (or other free linux debugger) and gcc please help me.

Hi

You can buy a low cost working hardware from & Jtag adaptor from www.olimax.com

The Jtag should work with GDB & GNU ARM tools

All the best
