application of Laplace and Fourier Transform

The question is regarding difference between Bode plot and Frequency response plot through Fourier transform. Since Bode plot is the outcome of laplace transform, the fundamental question arises as what additional information is provided by fourier transform ?
 

A Bode plot shows the frequency & phase characteristic of a system, whereas fourier shows the frequency/ phase composition of an actual signal.
