cross layer optimization
I am currently researching on a method of APP-PHY cross-layer optimization between H.264 Video File and PHY layer. I already have both APP and PHY layer ready but then I am short of idea on what should I do in order to reduce the PHY layer BER for better APP layer throughput other than:
(1) Multi-user (MIMO) which i am not considering as it divert far from my research boundary.
(2) Changing the Coding technique in PHY layer (MB-OFDM -UWB) - Turbo/LDPC
(3) Directional Antenna - out of my research scope...
If i am not to change any standard specification in my PHY layer. what are the possibility of reducing the BER?
MB-OFDM - Multiband OFDM
UWB - Ultra wideband
I would be glad if anyone can provide me with more direction to which way I can approach.
