I would to ask how to assign the excitation " lumped port" in the aperture fed patch antenna..
In the aperture the feed line would be at the bottom so should I put the port above it till the ground above ?!?
and in which direction should E fields be in this case !?
please any help

Helloo
No one could help with that !!
just a word guys

Screenshot (44).png

well I don't know if that would help
from top to bottom it is like this :
Patch
substrate
ground"with the aperture"
substrate
feed line

what I would like to know is where should I exactly put my lumped port to do the excitation !!!

Could you extend the feedline in your model and place then there a lumped or a wave port?

I didn't really get what you mean..
I know that lumped port should be between the feedline and the ground
but here the ground is above the feedline I don't think it would be okey to place it just in between..
any help
