Hello everybody,

I'll put my question in the simplest form possible.

I would like to use an Analog Switch to switch on and off the current of the multimeter during junction voltage measurement.

Something like this:

Unfortunately in this manner the control circuit is isolated from the multimeter so I'm worried it could not work... Any solution? Should I go back to relay?

Controlling the multimeter through a PC is not possible in my case.

Thanks!

The easiest way would be to put the switch in the negative (black terminal) side of the circuit with the black terminal grounded.
Then you can simply switch the circuit with a single N-MOSFET in series between the common terminal and the cathode of the diode being tested.
