analog design interview questions

Hi all
Can any body help me regarding analog design interview questions
Thanks to all

analog questions

Hi Satya,
In case if you are fresher then You should be ready with circuit analysis.
Apart from that you should have the through study on current mirrors, reference circuit, single stage amplifier, and Op-amp.
In Op-amp you must know diffrent type of circuits, feedback and compensation technique, pole zero analysis, gain/phase margin and its effect.
You should know Analog layout techniques including commn centroid layout, matching issue etc also

Thanks!

opamp interview questions

For typical interviews, I think some questions relating to the following maybe necessary
(1) Understanding of 2-stage Op-Amp design
(2) Understanding of current bias and bandgap reference design
(3) Understanding of simple inverter transfer function and the operation region w.r.t. each input voltage range.
(4) Understanding of layout matching especially common centriod layout
(6) Some simple logic stuffs like FF design, setup/hold time requirement, divider design, counter design as most of the time analog is now mixed with simple digital stuffs
(7) Knowledge of Verilog/VHDL

analog circuit design interview questions

hi sathya,

you must be good in basics in analog design i.e common source, gate, drain amplifiers. apart from that, a through knowledge in op-amp design and in frequency responses.

analog design interview

acutally, the questions depend on which engineering level you are applying.
If you apply entry level engineer, basic enough analog questions are must. Op-Amp, bandgap, simple logic, frequency compensation, bode plot, simple device physics, simple layout is a must.
If you apply senior level, specific topic in-depth is required. It depends on which company is apply.
If you apply managerial level, project management and complete tape-out flow is a must to know. Also, one of the topics in-depth is a must as well.

analog design questions

I think is the basic theory.

circuit analysis interview questions

the questions will depend on which engineering level you are applying and it depends on the level of design if it is circuit and systems or transistor level design.

if u r fresh graduated u have to review concepts.
behaviour of op-amp and feedback concept .... etc.

if transistor level u have to review bandgap , vref and i ref (how to build circuits for it)

finally
good luck

interview questions on op amp

you better choose a right company. some company's interview is taugh, while some other's can be very simple.

analog design interview questions and answers

thanks ramesh
do you have any more such documents.....
i really need those kind of interview questions....

analog design interview questions with answers

better u go through the basics of mos theory, study about basic opamps, band gap refference, and basic inverter concepts

basic analog cmos questions

thanks rameshdanas, it's really useful.
and apart from all above, one should have good understanding of network theory and control systems knowledge to get through the interviews.

be well prepare on your previous projects and current updates on them.

analog design interview question

favourite question for analog interviews

What is small signal analysis and why it is important

Hope this help. Thanks and good luck for your future undertakings

Below are few of the interesting questions I compiled from various sources. I will update
the list as I get time.
1. What happens if Vds is increased over saturation?
2. In the I-V characteristics curve, why is the saturation curve flat or constant?
3. What happens if a resistor is added in series with the drain in a mos transistor?
4. What are the different regions of operation in a mos transistor?
5. What are the effects of the output characteristics for a change in the beta (β)
value?
6. What is the effect of body bias?
7. What is hot electron effect and how can it be eliminated?
8. What is latchup problem and how can it be eliminated?
9. What is channel length modulation?
10. What is the effect of temperature on threshold voltage?
11. What is the effect of temperature on mobility?
12. What are the different types of scaling?
13. What is stage ratio?
14. What is charge sharing on a bus?
15. What is electron migration and how can it be eliminated?
16. Can both pmos and nmos transistors pass good 1 and good 0? Explain.
17. Why is only nmos used in pass transistor logic?
18. What are the different methodologies used to reduce the charge sharing in
dynamic logic?
19. What are setup and hold time violations? How can they be eliminated?
20. Explain the operation of basic sram and dram.
21. Of Read and Write operations, which ones take more time? Explain.
22. What is meant by clock race?
23. What is meant by single phase and double phase clocking?
24. If given a choice between NAND and NOR gates, which one would you pick?
Explain.
25. What are stuck-at faults?
26. What is meant by ATPG?
27. What is meant by noise margin in an inverter? How can you overcome it?
28. Why is size of pmos transistor chosen to be close to three times of an nmos
transistor?
29. Explain the origin of the various capacitances in the mos transistor and the
physical reasoning behind it.
30. Why should the number of CMOS transistors that are connected in series be
reduced?
31. What is charge sharing between bus and memory element?
32. What is crosstalk and how can it be avoided?
33. Two inverters are connected in series. The widths of pmos and nmos transistors of
the second inverter are 100 and 50 respectively. If the fan-out is assumed to be 3,
what would be the widths of the transistors in the first inverter?

op amp question bank for job interview

go through analog design- razavi and
digital CMOS - rabay..

i am a IV year electronics & Comm. engineering student, i want to know about ti's interview. i mean what can i study to crack both of their written test and interview. plz help!

Added after 3 minutes:

i m sorry to use that word "fix" (wrong usage) . jst wanted to ask how to prepare!
