Amplify DC Voltage (from 5v to 12v)

Without a power supply, your motor will just sit there doing nothing.
Instead of a power supply, you could use a 12V battery that is big enough to supply 0.95A for the motor to start running then enough continuous current to keep it running as long as you want.

Why did you think that the electric motor would start and run without enough electrical power to do it??
Why did you think that 200mA from 5V USB (1W of electrical power) could be "amplified" then used to start the 12V motor with 0.95A (11.4W electrical power)??
