How to Select a component in schematic editor, then update the schematic symbol from the library, but keep the "component designator", and keep the "value" text associated with that component as it stands in the schematic....Eagle Pro automatically does this for you, you never fall fowl of this in Eagle, how to do in Altium?
i think you have to own Altium to be able to use it properly, but its too expensive.
