I have just placed an IC into an Altium schematic.....it came out as "U?" instead of making it say U10, considering that U10 was an unused designator (this is what eagle pro does). So to get the designator completed, i then hit "force annotate schematics".......and it made it "U6"....since Altium has been duplicating component designators, i then wanted to do a search on "U6", so as to see if their were any more "U6"'s in the same schematic.........but how do you do this in Altium?
Altium is making me realise how ingenius Eagle Pro is......you just dont get these situations in Eagle Pro.......if i owned Altium i guess i could learn it, (learn it quicker) but Altium is too expensive to own

Hi Treez,

Type JC in the keyboard. Its the command to jump to a Component. Type the Reference Designer(Your case it is U6).It will jump to each instance if u have U6 at multiple instances.

Thanks,
Shab
