I Want to read data from a sensor which has RS485 interface .As the computer has only usb port ,I used RS485 to usb converter.In windows i am getting the response data when i send request data.When using in linux i tried minicom software ,but I am not getting the response data when i send request data.
It shows the ftdi driver for the converter.
i need to clarify is the problem with ftdi driver or minicom ?
do I need to change any setting in the driver as minicom settings ?
