ALTERA-MODEL SIM LIcense problem

hi,
please can any one tell me what is the solution for this....

* i purchased CYCLONE-II DSP development board in that they gave QUARTUS-II, along with ALTERA MODEL SIM... i got one license form ALTERA . NOW my QUARTUS-II is working fine. but i am not able to open model-sim it is showing "unable to check license...."is it the meaning i need take one more license from altera. and i placed my license at correct location. i am not understanding what is the problem.

*For how many days that license will serve for my ALTERA-MODEL SIM"".....
