Hello,

Can somebody provide some advice on the design of a microstrip all- pass filter. Some literature and examples would be enough.

Regards,

A.

Try to find this book:
"Microstrip filters for RF/microwave applications" Jia-Sheng Hong, M. J. Lancaster

Of all the filter terms, "all pass" is probably the most nebulous. You should tell us exactly what you need. A piece of coax cable is an "all pass" network, for instance, with a linear phase slope. Do you need some speciic phase response vs. frequency?

Hi,

What i want is just to design an all-pass filter( on a microstrip printed board) at 10-12GHz. I dont have any particular specifications other than that the magnitude of the input signal remains unchanged and the phase shift is as big as possible.

Thanks

In general, if you are looking for a lot of delay, you want some sort of filtering structure. Lowpass, bandpass, etc. Each resonator would give you perhaps 500 ps of delay in a bandpass. Another technique is to use a slow wave structure, but your bandwidth makes that more challenging.

dear asturias
some time to make a new filter you should combine other filters.for example to make a bandstop filter we can combine lowpass and highpass.maybe a combanition wpass and highpass filter with the same cutoff frequency help you to desighn a allpass filter.
THIS IS AN IDEA ONLY)
