[SOLVED] Alarm feature in RTC(perform a task per day)

I have read that DS12887 has alarm feature. and using IRQ we can perform a task ones per day, ones per minute etc.
Can we do this by using DS1307 ?
if yes then how? if no then which RTC (with I2C) is suitable for this?
