Synopsys ACS Scripts

Does anybody have Synopsys ACS (Advanced Chip Synthesis) ready made Scripts, and Flow Tutorials ?

U can read the workshop lecture and acs tutorial.
Someone have post all the labs downloable from synopsys ftp site.
I have tried some acs examples to apply to my design . It become very slow when the design size grow up.
U had better use the Primetime's design budget. It's much fast.

Use muti-cpu option

Hi,
Please use multi-cpu option. ACS job will be faster than normal option.
It is very convinient and accurate than manual synthsis job.
ACS also use primetime and make all script by itself.
You should make very short script for all operations.

You can try acs tut at:
$SYNOPSYS/doc/syn/acs_tutorial
after you install syn tools.
But it only works on unix version of dc_shell (not design_analyzer).
Check SOLD for detailed instructions for this toturial.

ACS works on Linux

Hi,
ACS works on Linux also. But you can use dc_shell -t option. Becasue it is based TCL. And you should modify setup file for ACS.

ACS 2002.05 sold

This Synopsys ACS 2002.05 sold CD.

according to my experience , ACS is very powerful in high gate design.
especially, timing constraints.
becasue acs use budget_shell , now 2002.05 use design_compiler time budget but in earlier version , use the primetime's budget shell.

and, as you know , acs use dc_tcl mode and GNU make (gmake).

I use the design compiler for sometime. But I never heard Advanced Chip Synthesis, I only heard Automatic Chip Synthesis. For my understanding, it is not useful in normal design flow.

Anyone, please correct me if I'm wrong.
